About IIED insights

IIED insights contain ideas, views and experiences sharing our agenda to build a fairer and more sustainable world. Any member of staff at IIED can contribute, and many do, offering their opinions in a direct and informal way.

We provide insights on a wide range of topics related to IIED’s work. You can use the themes menu to find insights about subjects that interest you, and a full archive can be found on the main IIED insights page.

We also feature posts by guest authors, many of whom work for partner organisations around the world. Check out our authors page for a full list of IIED’s experts and guests.

We want our insights to be personal and topical, and written for particular (sometime niche) audiences. We provide some guidance and support because we want our authors to make the best use of the medium. But there are many different ways to write, and you’ll see that our authors take different approaches.

All of our insights are clearly attributed, and are written by the named authors.
