As part of the collaborative project between IIED and Winrock International India on Developing Incentive-based Mechanisms for Watershed Protection Services and Improved Livelihoods in the Bhoj Wetlands, this communication strategy was developed to help mobilize resources that can be channeled to farmers in the catchment to encourage them to shift to more wetland-friendly agricultural practices. It was thought that developing and implementing an effective communication strategy was necessary to first make the recipients aware about the different problems related to agriculture run-off and how it concerns them.
