The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) binds over 190 countries to work together to tackle climate change. Each year the parties to the convention meet to review progress. The 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November to 12 December, 2023.
IIED researchers and partners will lead and present at events throughout COP28. Our key areas of focus will be debt relief for climate and nature, locally led adaptation and finance, and supporting negotiators from the least developed countries.
