Tracking adaptation and measuring development (TAMD) is a twintrack framework that evaluates adaptation effectiveness. TAMD offers the flexibility to generate bespoke frameworks for individual countries that can be tailored to specific contexts and applied at different scales. In partnership with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Agriculture, IIED and Echnoserve have been testing the TAMD approach by assessing how the Sustainable Land Management Programme is contributing to building resilience through soil and water conservation. The research assesses how communities benefitted from the SLMP interventions and identified local indicators on adaptation and development performance. The results were analysed in the context of the changing climate trends.
