Programme director (Green Economy Coalition)
The Green Economy Coalition (GEC) is a network of more than 50 collaborating organisations, with a secretariat hosted by IIED and based in the Shaping Sustainable Markets research group. The GEC works to support dialogue, exchange and adoption of policy on green economy.
The GEC has an ambitious three-year strategy, a secure funding pipeline and a series of new projects around natural capital and national dialogues, and is looking to expand with the recruitment of a programme director.
The programme director will develop, lead and manage two global green economy programmes: on national dialogues (currently active in seven countries) and on natural capital.
To succeed in this role applicants will have substantial experience with international policy frameworks, agreements and initiatives addressing the green economy.
Educated to degree level with a post graduate degree in a relevant discipline you will have proven leadership, project management and fundraising skills together with strong stakeholder engagement particularly with international organisations, government agencies, academics, NGOs and other civil society organisations. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
